Naso Art Journal’s Behind the Show segment extends its editorial inquiry beyond the studio and into the structural and relational frameworks that shape how art is produced, presented, and circulated. Through in-depth interviews, observational writing, and visual documentation, this segment foregrounds the work of curators, gallerists, fair directors, and cultural producers whose roles often remain peripheral to public narratives, yet whose decisions and labor significantly influence how MENA artists are positioned within institutional and market systems.
By rendering these professional practices visible, the journal maps the networks, negotiations, and values that underpin exhibition-making and cultural mediation. Positioned within a broader commitment to equity and critical engagement, Behind the Show examines how these actors navigate questions of access, representation, and responsibility within the global art ecosystem
